I grew up in a small house with no living room but with a large kitchen which was the center of the house. Since I was a child, I helped my mother with various kitchen tasks. I remember the first recipes I cooked with her, croquettes, and Basque style French toast. Since then, I cannot stop thinking about those moments every time I eat them. At the age of 24 I decided that I wanted to travel and see the world, I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I went to Sydney, Australia where I found a job as a kitchen assistant in a tapas bar called Miro, where I worked for 3 years. This was where my passion for gastronomy awakened, knowing that it was a something that allowed traveling, learning, and the joy of food at the same time. My second adventure was in San Francisco CA, where I worked at the Basque/French restaurant, Piperade, 15 Romolo Basque Hotel, Rosewood, and B44.
After traveling through the USA, Central America, India, Indonesia, and North Africa, I decided to return home. After working in some pintxo bars, I got a job at the Basque Culinary Center where I immersed myself in the world of teaching. All this experience helped me to work at Mimo Food, a pioneer company in offering gastronomic experiences in San Sebastián with its own cooking school. I'm now looking forward to transporting you into my home kitchen with The Chef & The Dish.
