Mondays are for Red Beans and Rice.  It's a staple in New Orleans, but may seem unusual to anyone else.  The beautiful story here brings us to laundry day. Yes, laundry day!  Mondays were typically laundry day in the south, which meant there was little time for a complicated dinner.  Red Beans and Rice with hearty Greens was filling, delicious and let you set it and forget it.  Plus, it used up the leftover meat from Sunday dinner.  


This menu will bring you to the deep south, with a deeply savoury Red Beans and Rice served alongside hammy and hearty Greens.  You'll end your meal with melt in your mouth Pralines still warm from the oven. Transport yourself to New Orleans for the day with Chef Gason, live from New Orleans.
