Daniela del Balzo
LOCATION: ROME, ITALY
Chef Daniela was born in Naples but has lived in Rome since she was a child. She spent her youth in the United States with her father, who worked for a luxury Italian hotel chain. It was there where she had the opportunity to organize traditional Italian dinners for American travel agents, fashion stylists, and international hotel managers. After returning to Italy, she found her career in the travel industy.
After 25 years with Alitalia Airlines, she decided to leave and pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a chef. She joined the Italian Cooking School Gambero Rosso and the French Culinary School Le Cordon Bleu and the rest is history. Since then, Chef Daniela has received incredible accolades and has been featured in Saveur Magazine, The Guardian, BBC's "Rhodes Across Italy" hosted by top British chef, Gary Rhodes, Mondo magazine, The Travel Guide, AFAR Travel, in Susan Van Allen's book,"100 Places in Italy Every Woman Should Go," and more.
In addition to her courses with The Chef & The Dish, you can cook with her in person at her beautiful home in Ancient Rome at Daniela's Cooking School.
