Brennan's Market located on Watts Road is a gourmet grocer specializing in cheese, meats and artisan products. Enjoy a leisurely stroll in this attractive market exploring interesting products like fruit butters, pepper relish and mustards. Their large cheese selection includes award-winning cheeses that you can exclusively find in their market. Their meat and deli section brings in the highest quality meats including grass-fed beef and humanely raised poultry from Gerber's Amish Farm Chicken. Alimentari

This cute little market is located on South Brearly Street. They offer a collection of takeaway dishes and catering for the Madison community, but stopping into the shop is a nice experience. While very small, they carry a curated selection of high end imported Italian products including gourmet pasta brands, imported DOP tomatoes, Italian canned tuna, olive oil, carnaroli rice for risotto, aged provolone, and several types of Italian pecorino cheese, and of course a wonderful array of cured meats. Make sure to browse their wine selection for a nice bottle during your cooking class!

Patricia's Market

Tucked away in a little plaza on North Sherman and Commercial Ave is Patricia's Market, a Mexican taco joint and grocer. While small and unassuming, when you enter the store you'll find a nice selection of Mexican staples. Browse their authentic hot sauces, salsas, traditional Mexican snacks, masa flour, chorizo, and dried chilies and you'll have a bag filled with everything you need for your Mexican cooking class. Make sure to grab a torta for the road while you're there.

Fresh Mart International

A short drive from the city center of Madison, Wisconsin in Sun Prairie is Fresh Mart International. A hidden gem tucked away behind a McDonald's, this specialty grocer is small, but bright and packed with lots of otherwise hard to find imported foods. While they do carry products from around the world, their store shines with their Mediterranean and Middle Eastern grocery selection. From bulgur and Turkish delight to jarred grape leaves and red pepper paste, you'll find a bunch of items for your cooking class. They also carry a wonderful selection of produce and the 'greatest hits for other cuisines including rice paper for spring rolls and other surprising finds.

Bombay Bazaar

The looks of Bombay Bazaar are not why you visit. You visit because they have a great selection of authentic Indian and South East Asian groceries and products in the Madison area. A bit disorganized and shelves stocked to the ceiling, here you'll find a wide selection of spices including cardamom pods, poppy seeds, turmeric, and tamarind. You'll also find a large selection of interesting produce including banana leaves, long beans, yuca root, jack fruit, or different varieties of eggplant. If there's a spice or vegetable on your shopping list that you can't find at the larger stores, this is a good stop for your cooking class.

Established in 2020, this huge store is located on Zeier Road in the East Town Plaza. Half food court and half market, Global Market & Food Hall is serving the Madison region with a fully versed selection of imported Asian groceries. Bring a beverage because browsing the aisles could take a full day. Whether you're looking for Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Japanese or other cuisine, this store will carry it.
