This 30,000 square foot Asian grocery store carries thousands of products from China, Japan, India, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. Your first stop in the produce section will give you access to hard to find Asian produce including kaffir lime leaves, Thai and Vietnamese herbs, sugarcane, an array of mushrooms and bok choy. In the pantry aisles, spend time awing over the incredible selection of unusual items. In addition to the ingredients for your cooking class, pick up a few extra things to experiment at home!

CapriFlavors - The Italian Market

This cute market is a wonderful stop. Located in Harrison Square near the Bass Pro Shop, this Italian speciality market carries a nice selection of imported Italian goods including hard to find Italian brands. Carrying everything from Italian coffee, risotto rice, tomatoes and cannoli shells, you'll especially want to stop during Christmas to pick up a panettone, they have dozens to choose from!

Caspian International Food Mart

Caspian International Food Mart is a no frills market that specializes in European grocery imports. This is a great stop if you're looking for Eastern European treats specifically from Ukraine, Hungary, Germany and other countries that you won't find elsewhere. This is a good spot to visit if you're looking for Hungarian paprika, pickled goods, and hot pepper paste.

The Butcher's Market

This father and son owned butcher shop has made a good name for themselves in the Triangle area. They have a wide selection of premium meats including only the very top tier of USDA Top Choice along with prime and grass fed beef. In addition to beef, pork, veal, and poultry, they also offer seafood including sushi grade tuna, snapper and more, along with a wide selection of exotic meats including duck, venison, and even alligator. They now have six locations in North Carolina, with two in the Raleigh center.

Saltwater Seafood Market

Known as the freshest seafood in the Triangle area, Saltwater Seafood Market carries a large selection of fresh fish and seafood. This is prime stop if you're looking for live lobster, tuna, cod, catfish and lots more. They also carry premium crab meat, clams, and oysters both shucked and in the shell. In the frozen section you'll find harder to source specialities like crawfish, conch meat, and octopus. Located on Fenton Street, the market is Tuesday through Sunday. Make sure to grab a bite while you're there at the Fry Shack.

El Mandado Supermarket

If you love hispanic food, you're in luck. El Mandado Supermarket is a large Hispanic grocery store offering high quality products from Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean in the Raleigh area. This is a great stop for everything from fresh tortillas, fresh and dried chillies, masa flour, cassava flour, a huge selection of hispanic pantry items, sweet treats, speciality cheeses and meats. While you're there make sure to grab a Torta from their taqueria.
