The Chef and The Dish offers private cooking classes via Skype and Zoom, video conferencing tools, accessible to people in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since 2016, The Chef & The Dish has been immersing people around the world in the cultures of Italy, Spain, Thailand, Japan, and many other international locations. The options are endless when you learn from the best chefs and this experience makes it the perfect stay-at-home date night.

To participate from your location in Vancouver, BC, is very easy. Simply select the cooking class you would like to attend, and book it online. With over 100 cooking classes, all Certified Tested by our team, you will be transporting your kitchen from Vancouver to Italy, Spain, Mexico or other country with the click of a button. Cooking classes are available for beginners to advanced cooks and unless otherwise noted, use standard kitchen equipment. Once you've picked a class and a date, our assistants will send you a shopping list with everything you need to get before your class time.

Known as the original natural health food store in Vancouver, Famous Foods has been operating in the area since 1930. Now on Kingsway Drive, Famous Foods offers over 1000 bulk, natural and organic foods including flours, grains, beans, spices, and herbs. They also have a wonderful selection of ethical meats and seafood including a variety of beef, chicken, shrimp, shellfish, and cured meats. This is a great stop for anyone looking for dietary specific preferences including gluten free and organic options. They're open Monday through Sunday from 8am-8pm.

Konbiniya Japan Centre

Konbiniya Japan Centre is located on the popular Robson Street. Nearly all of the products at this speciality market are made in Japan. Carrying a dizzying amount of beautiful products, this is a go to shop for everything from the best quality sushi rice brands, eel, dried fish, mushrooms, noodles, a plethora of seaweed and ingredients for sushi. Note, Konbiniya also ships across Canada for additional flat fees.
