LEARN HOW TO MAKE DUMPLINGS IN THIS JAPANESE COOKING CLASS

Chef Yoshimi's Dumpling class will have you stuffing traditional Japanese gyoza in no time. Gyoza are a direct descendant of the Chinese Jiaozi and became popular in Japan in the 1940's after World War II.  The Japanese learned to make these dumplings from the Chinese during their occupation of Manchuria, after which they tailored the flavours to Japanese tastes and brought the tradition back home.

 

During this 2-hour class, Yoshimi will Skype into your kitchen from her home in Tokyo. Together, you'll prepare pork stuffed Gyoza along with two traditional Japanese sides, Miso Soup and Stir-fried Carrots.  At the end of your cooking class, Yoshimi will disconnect and you'll have an epic Japanese meal cooked just by you!

Dumplings will teach you the basics of making gyoza. It’s a great course for anyone looking for the basic principles to be creative with their fillings in the future.  Excellent for multiple guests who'd like to spend the day making extra dumplings to freeze.  

 

         Depending where you reside, some of these ingredients may be difficult to find. Some ingredients may need to be purchased online.
