Morocco is a feast for your senses and this class will transport you to the sensory madness of Marrakech. A land filled with flavors that dance on your palette, this class will open your eyes to flavor combinations that seem outlandish. The importance of dried fruits and sweetness shine in this class that's a delightful mix of sweet and savory. With ingredients like turmeric, sesame, onion, apricots, prunes, cayenne, and olives - you'll experience the full flavor that is known as Morocco!


In this Moroccan cooking class, you'll learn how to make the Sweet & Salty Berber Tagine.  Your Tagine will be paired with Zaalouk, a warm and smoky roasted eggplant dish eaten with flatbread. Pair that with Spiced Olives and entertaining Moroccan Tea, your kitchen will truly transport to the songful, chaotic, yet calm land of Morocco. Moroccan Chef Badr hales from the city of Casablanca.  He grew up in a family with great passion and love for his land and Moroccan food. His mother is considered a very famous chef in her region for her mastery of Moroccan cuisine. Lovingly referred to as “golden fingers”, he inherited the beautiful gift of cooking from her and fell in love with Moroccan cuisine as a child. Chef Badr studied the culinary arts and worked in several restaurants to develop and refine his skills. In 2018, he participated in the international culinary television hit "MasterChef" and was one of the most prominent competitors for the title Master Chef Morocco. It turned his life upside down. He is now known as one of the best chefs in Moroccan cuisine, and a staple on Moroccan television and social networking sites. Chef Badr is now on a journey and wants to bring traditional Moroccan cooking to the world and teach the world the best, most famous and delicious food that comes from his country. *The base price of most classes is $369 which allows 2 participants in the same kitchen. Each additional person in your kitchen thereafter is an additional $50 USD. We had a Moroccan cooking class with Chef Badr, we cooked Chicken Tagine a warm tomato salad and stuffed olives followed by Moroccan mint tea. Chef Badr was excellent at showing us how to prepare and cook all the dishes everything turned out perfectly We think Chef Badr is patient and makes the class very enjoyable we shared the delicious Moroccan food with our family everyone loved the food. Thanks to Chef Badr and also The Chef and The Dish. Our Kitchen Assistant was very helpful in preparing for the class.
