Immerse yourself in the rich history of Neapolitan classics, Braciole and Spaghetti alla Nerano in a private Italian cooking class
The bustling and gritty city of Naples and the southern coastline are home to some of Italy's most famous foods. Rich soil impacted by Mount Vesuvius, culinary influence from the Greeks, Sicilians and more - Neapolitan food is often the first we think of when we think of Italy itself.
In this private virtual cooking class you and your loved ones will join our chefs, live from Italy. You'll start your class with the much-loved Braciole. Similar to German Roulade, you'll learn how to achieve perfectly pounded meat, stuffed with a variety of fillings including pine nuts and raisins, then you'll roll away and tuck your creations into a rich sauce to simmer away. While you enjoy the warm aromas from your stove, you'll master the now famous Spaghetti alla Nerano. Perhaps the original "zoodles" Spaghetti alla Nerano is the namesake dish from a small town on the beautiful Amalfi coast, Nerano, and is where this dish originated. This decadent and creamy pasta is filled with a favorite of the summer season, lots of fried zucchini. Your third dish will be Eggplant Scarpone which translates to "stuffed boots". Delicious and an excellent side for many Italian meals.
Take a trip to the south of Italy in this cooking class that will remind you of the winding streets and fabulous views of Italy.

Chef Massimo
Brindisi, Italy

Born and raised in Brindisi, Puglia Chef Massimo Mancarella discovered his passion for food while watching his grandmother Anna prepare the classic Sunday family lunch. After learning the basic techniques of Italian cuisine at the hospitality institute in his city, Massimo had the opportunity to travel the world. He’s perfected his craft with over 10 years working as a Chef in Egypt, the Netherlands and Spain which have contributed to his love of culture, people and his culinary knowledge.
Chef Massimo’s desire to deeply explore the history and culture of Italian cuisine led him to the prestigious ALMA University. ALMA University, located in the prized culinary region of Parma, Italy houses Italy's most elite culinary professions. It was there where he developed the deepest knowledge, learned the stories and the soul of Italian cuisine. After working in several Michelin Star restaurants, Massimo returned to his homeland, Puglia where he currently works as a private Chef for events and in luxury villas.
“Fill the head before the stomach” is his culinary philosophy: A dish, an ingredient and a recipe almost always have a story to tell. It’s the anecdote and legend that we together will carry together.

*The base price of most classes is $369 which allows 2 participants in the same kitchen. Each additional person in your kitchen thereafter is an additional $50 USD.
