LEARN TO PREPARE A TURKISH FEAST! WEDDING DISHES OF BODRUM
Honoured as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Turkey by UNESCO, the main course of Keskek is a traditional wedding dish that will take you both back in time and to the present day Turkey when celebrations bring an entire village together. Where men and women cook together outdoors on an open fire all through the night to feed their guests the next day. Where crowds look on cheering and musicians drum along, all announcing the thickening of the stew. This is more than just a celebration, it’s a ceremony.
It’s time to bring this time honoured dish to your kitchen. The scents of the spices will fill your home with a wonderful warm feeling and the soft and creamy dish will melt in your mouth when done. It will be accompanied by Talatur, a savory yet refreshing side made of cooked eggplant and peppers - both Turkish staples. Last but not least, your feast won’t be complete without a piece (or two!) of Sarili - a flakey walnut Baklava made of phyllo and glazed with a simple syrup.
It will be a night to remember!
