ABOUT

Chef Jenny Brulé has been developing recipes and writing about food since graduating with honors from Baltimore International Culinary College in 1994.

 

Although raised in Ohio, Jenny and her husband have maintained a home in the South for sixteen years. From 2003-2010 Jenny, her husband and four children lived in Europe, but now call Charlotte, North Carolina home. 

 

Jenny has been a nationally published food writer, recipe developer and cooking teacher for twenty years. Her work has appeared in Cooking Light, Shape Magazine, Fitness Magazine, Swiss News, and countless regional magazines and newspapers. She’s made over 200 appearances as chef and food correspondent on Carolina’s largest NBC affiliate, WCNC and Charlotte Today and is the weekly on-air chef for NBC Charlotte’s Sunday Morning News. 

 

From 2000-2013 Chef Brulé owned and operated Brulé Gourmet, a bespoke catering company operating in the USA, Switzerland and England. Her bigger gigs were catering for the Masters in Augusta, Georgia (from 2000-2004) and private functions for Lord and Lady Grey in County Cheshire, England as well as catering for the cast and crew of HBO’s Homeland and NASCAR legends, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon in North Carolina.

    

Jenny’s cookbook, Learn to Cook 25 Southern Classics 3 Ways was published in September 2016. Because of swift pre-sale orders she’s already been signed to writer her second cookbook on southern cuisine.  Now, she can't wait to meet you in your own home kitchen with her private, 'virtual' cooking classes with The Chef & The Dish.
